Approval has been granted for emergency works to be carried out at Corracrin National School in County Monaghan.

The announcement has been warmly welcomed by local TD and Minister for Social Protection and Community & Rural Affairs Heather Humphreys.

The Department of Education approved the works under the Emergency Works Scheme which ensures the availability of funding for unforeseen works to schools in need of urgent resources.

‍

The funding will go towards Mechanical Works on the building which its hoped will commence shortly.

‍

In response to the approval local Minister Heather Humphreys welcomed the announcement stating that she knows itwill be well-received by the both the principal and staff.
