Humphreys congratulates Entekra on being Named Manufacturer of the Year by the Leading Home Building Organisation in America

October 9, 2019

Heather Humphreys, Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, and Fine Gael TD for Cavan Monaghan, has congratulated Entekra on being given three awards by the leading home building organisation in America, the National Association of Home Builders. They have been named Manufacturer of the Year and they also received two additional awards for excellence in home design.

Minister Humphreys said:

I would like to congratulate Entekra on being named Manufacturer of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). The NAHB is the largest and most active association of home builders in the United States, a country of 330 million people, so this is a huge achievement.

As if that wasn’t enough, they received two additional awards for excellence in home design. The first of these was in the category, ‘Homes of 3,001 to 4,000 square feet’. The home in question was built by KB Home, one of the largest and most recognised home builders in the United States. The second award was in the category, ‘Homes of less than 2,000 square feet’. The winning home is a collaboration between Entekra and California builder, Van Daele Homes.

These three awards are a result of the engineering that is being done in Monaghan.

Entekra currently employ 50 people locally and will be growing that number to 100. It is a wonderful achievement for a company that was only set up 2 years ago to win such prestigious awards in a country the size of the US.

It is a testament to the talent and dedication of the staff in Monaghan. In addition, the close links with CMETB in producing the right skills is certainly paying off.

I would like to commend Gerry McCaughey for his total commitment and confidence in bringing this investment to Monaghan. I know that Alan Fannin, the Senior VP of Engineering, has gone to the US to collect the three awards and I hope the team take some time to celebrate.”
